Suspect Sought in Thursday Morning Leesburg Burglary

Leesburg Police seek man spotted near the home, which had been ransacked.

Leesburg Police officers were searching for a tall, slender, white male suspected of burglarizing a home on the 400 block of Foxridge Drive SW in Leesburg around 9:25 a.m. Thursday.

Police responded to reports from a neighbor who witnessed the suspect exiting the home and fleeing. The neighbor also observed a broken window.

The Virginia State Police K9 unit assisted in a search of the area that proved unsuccessful. Officers searched the home and found it had been "ransacked." Attempts were being made to notify the homeowner and determined whether items were taken.
