Crescent Place Proposal Gets Public Hearing Tuesday

The Leesburg Town Council will consider the application for the old Barber and Ross property.

A proposal by Lansdowne Development Group to construct 224 homes and more than 30,000 square feet of commercial space behind Middleburg Bank along Catoctin Circle is scheduled for a public hearing before the Leesburg Town Council at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.

The proposal is located in the Crescent District.

While council members have indicated an interested in ridding the town of the old buildings on the site, known as the Barber and Ross property, some critics have raised questions about associated proffers and whether they mitigate the proposed used.
