The current U.S. Senate candidate was the keynote speaker during the annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner & Gala on April 21.

The Loudoun County Democratic Committee hosted its annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner & Gala on Saturday, April 21. The event took place at the Lansdowne Resort Clubhouse, in Leesburg.

Former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, who is currently running for the U.S. Senate, was the keynote speaker. He outlined a “forward-looking, Virginia-based” vision for the economic future and spoke at length about the need to invest in people through education and workforce training, and in infrastructure.

In particular, Kaine emphasized his support for the to Loudoun project. He also addressed the politics of his race, warning against the free-spending Super PACs he expects to support his opponent, but stressing that Democrats can fight back with motivated volunteers and a grass roots effort.
