Kelly Burk Sworn Into Town Council

Following her win during the Town Council's special election April 17, Burk is finally official.

Kelly Burk was officially sworn into the Town Council on Monday, April 23, during the Town Council's work session. 

Burk was one of two candidates running for a seat that was recently vacated by Ken Reid upon his election to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. She received 1,237 votes (53.13 percent) compared to her opponent Dwight Dopilka who received 1,089 (46.77 percent). According to the Board of Elections, 2,331 people voted in the special election.

Burk's term will expire on Dec. 31, 2014.
