LTE: Supporting LaRock for 33rd House Seat

A reader makes case for LaRock over Mary Daniel in the fall election.

Dear Editor,

Mary Daniel, the self-described moderate candidate for Virginia’s 33rd House of Delegates seat, is claiming to be like Joe May.

Her strategy is clear: She wants to draw moderate Republican voters who feel Dave LaRock is too conservative. She apparently feels she needs something more than her own record to reach voters, so she has chosen to create an image of being like Joe May.

Although Joe May was not a true conservative, he was a problem solver. Mary Daniel is a collections attorney, which hardly qualifies her as a successor.

Her unwillingness to address her political positions is telling.

Dave LaRock, however, understands what Virginia needs. As a successful small business owner, he knows how to help small businesses and create jobs. He believes small businesses can prosper with lower taxes and limited government.

Dave is not afraid to speak against the 2013 tax increase and Obamacare Medicaid expansion, nor is he afraid to talk about the sanctity of human life, traditional values and gun rights.

Dave LaRock is a true conservative Republican leader who will stand up for Virginia and the Constitution against Washington’s determined effort to overreach its authority.

Dave will not be the typical establishment Republican. Instead, he will be a true statesman who holds true to his word.

Please join me in supporting Dave LaRock for the 33rd House of Delegates seat.

Sincerely,

Josiah Alway
