More Downtown Leesburg Street Improvements Begin Monday

The next part of Leesburg's project to improve pedestrian access to downtown businesses is set to commence along Church Street.

Leesburg residents may experience some traffic disruption in the area of Church Street starting Monday as construction begins on the next phase of the Downtown Street Improvements Project.

Arthur Construction Company as been contracted to work on the Church Street improvements between Loudoun and Royal streets.

The project calls for new storm drains with curb and gutter, new brick sidewalks and pavement resurfacing. The new sections of sidewalk will connect with existing sidewalks, with the goal of improving pedestrian access to the businesses located on Church Street including the Mason Enterprise Center business incubator.
