Spring Bling Returns to Ida Lee

The 15th annual Spring Bling, a hometown fine arts and crafts show, will come to on Saturday, March 3. Admission is free to the one-day, indoor show, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the basketball courts, main hallway and aerobics room of the recreation center.

Presented by the Leesburg Department of Parks and Recreation, the show will feature over 70 local and regional crafters selling handcrafted items.

“We have a great variety of very talented vendors,” said Linda Fountain, the town’s youth services coordinator. “It’s really fun to shop for and purchase items that you can’t find anywhere else.”

Vendors will offer unique art and home décor merchandise, jewelry and accessories, personal care items, wood crafts and other miscellaneous crafts. Foods such as peanut brittle, ice cream, pasta, soup and dip mixes will also be available.

“We have several repeat vendors who have been doing this show for more than five years,” Fountain said. She cited Beyond the Glitter and The Golden Thistle, both jewelry businesses, as vendors with a strong local following, as well as Gypsy Hill which makes dip and soup mixes, and a newer vendor, Pasta Valente, which makes flavored pastas.

“I love seeing repeat vendors come back year after year with new designs and new items to keep their product fresh and stay current with trends,” Fountain said.

According to Fountain, vendors pay a fee to the Town of Leesburg for booth space to participate. There is no admission fee for the public to come in and shop.
