Virginia AG Candidates to Square Off at Loudoun Chamber Event

Democrat Herring and Republican Obenshain are running for the top law enforcement job in the state.

Virginia’s statewide races are nearing the final sprint, and as a way to help voters discern differences between the two candidates for attorney general, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled an Oct. 2 forum as part of its PolicyMaker series.

Republican Mark Obenshain, of Harrisonburg, and Democrat Mark Herring, of Leesburg, are vying for the right to take over the job now help by gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli (R).

The candidates will face a panel of Loudoun business leaders, responding to questions intended to reveal their positions on the Chamber’s priority business, economic and quality of life issues.
