Area high school students are invited to meet representatives from the nation's service academies.

The 2018 Academy nomination season is officially open for inquiries from students considering attending one of the U.S. service academies.

Students from Virginia’s 10th Congressional District – which includes all of Loudoun – who are interested in attending one of the nation’s service academies are invited to attend the 10th District Academy Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at the Loudoun County Public School Administration Building in Ashburn.

Students can meet and participate in panel discussions with representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.  In addition, organizers invited representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, Virginia Military Institute and the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets.
