Heritage High Receives Sportsmanship Awards

Awards presented during football game on Nov. 2.

The Virginia High School League’s (VHSL) 2011-12 “Stay in the Game Award” was awarded Nov. 2 to Heritage High School. It is the only school in Loudoun County to not have any coach or player ejections for the entire year, according to a press release.

Heritage also was awarded the VHSL’s Claudia Dodson Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award along with Park View and Tuscarora high schools.

Sponsored by Wells Fargo, the Claudia Dodson Award recognizes member schools that have established policies and procedures that make sportsmanship a priority and an expectation within the school and school community.
