Leesburg Youth Career Expo Set For Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Leesburg Executive Airport

Release, Town of Leesburg:

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, both employers and job seekers will fill the ProJet Aviation hangar at the Leesburg Executive Airport, for the 2nd annual Youth Career Expo.

According to Leesburg Business Development Manager Doug Parsons, more than 60 local businesses will participate in the Expo, looking to hire full-time, part-time and summer employees. Many employers will be making job offers on the spot.

The focus of the Youth Career Expo is to connect local businesses with recent college and high school graduates, as well as current students, to fill entry-level and seasonal positions,” explained Leesburg Town Council Member Kelly Burk. “Often young people don’t know about the job opportunities right here in Leesburg. The Expo brings the employers and job seekers together.”

Admission to the Expo is free. Attendees should wear business attire and bring copies of their resumes. In addition to job opportunities, the Expo will offer attendees interview skills training and resume writing resources.

The ProJet Aviation hangar is located at the Leesburg Executive Airport (957 Sycolin Road SE, Leesburg, VA 20175). The Expo hours will be 10:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

There are limited spaces still available for businesses to participate. If interested, please contact Doug Parsons, Leesburg’s Business Development Manager, at dparsons@leesburgva.gov  or 703-771-6530.
