Reaching Out: LCPS Goes Social

The Loudoun school system encourages parents to follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

In an attempt to expand the potential communications between the school system and parents, Loudoun County Public Schools has launched Facebook and Twitter accounts that encourages parents to follow, like, whatever you call it for the respective site.

LCPS has website that stays up to date and provides email alerts.

Each school also has its own website, all of which can be found by visiting the LCPS website; just choosing your school from pull down bar in the upper left corner of the home page.

In addition, the school system is launching the CLARITY portal, through which parents can access their children’s grades and attendance. That system will be fully operational for third grade through 12th grade at some point during the first quarter of the school year. The CLARITY portals for kindergarten through second grade will open in the second quarter. Requirements for updating grade books, adding new assignments and responding to parent e-mails will be handled on a school-by-school basis.
