Here is a recap of scores and highlights for the Lady Raiders LC Varsity Lacrosse team:

The Loudoun County Raiders hosted Woodgrove High School for the Raider's last game of the regular season. Though they played hard with heart the Lady Raiders fell to the Wolverines 8-11. Scoring for the Raiders included: Senior Rachel Solis (3 g, 1 a), Juniors Sarah Greenspon (1 g) and Haley Knudsen (4 g, 1 a) and Sophomore Alex Lord (3 a). The Raiders finish their regular season with an impressive 11-3 record. They go on to play Briar Woods HS for round one of the District Tournament.

Round one for the Lady Raiders of the District Tournament was a meeting between Briar Woods and LC. The Raiders emerged victorious with a score of 15-9. Scoring for the Raiders included: Senior Rachel Solis (5 g, 3 a), Juniors Sarah Greenspon (1 g) and Haley Knudsen (3 g, 1 a), Sophomores Megan Norris (1 g, 1 a) and Alex Lord (1 g, 1 a) and Freshman Emily Solis 4 g). With a huge save percentage in goal, Senior Jessie Joseph protected the house with the help of Senior defenders Shannon Rose and Stephanie Modica, Junior Stephanie Schulze and Freshman Erica Beal.

In one of the most exciting games of the season, amid sporadic rain and a venue move to Woodgrove Turf, the Raiders played longtime rivals, Loudoun Valley Vikings. The Raiders battled hard and emerged victorious with a score of 12-9. Scoring for the Raiders included: Senior Rachel Solis (4 g), Juniors Sarah Greenspon (1 g) and Haley Knudsen (4 g, 1 a), Sophomores Megan Norris (2 a) and Alex Lord (1 g 1 a) and Freshman Emily Solis (1 g). Senior Jessie Joseph and Freshman Maddy Wheeler held strong in goal aided by key takeaways and ground ball control. Denying entry to the 8 included Seniors Shannon Rose and Stephanie Modica, Junior Stephanie Schulze and Freshman Erica Beal.

Playing for the title of Dulles District Champion, the Lady Raiders took on the Woodgrove Wolverines once again. Securing the District Runner Up title the Raiders fell to Woodgrove 10-17 in regulation play. Scoring for the Raiders included: Senior Rachel Solis (4 g, 1 a), Juniors Sarah Greenspon (1 g) and Haley Knudsen (1 g, 1 a), Sophomores Megan Norris (1 g, 1 a) and Alex Lord (1 g, 1 a) and Freshman Emily Solis (2 g, 1 a).

For the first time in the history of LC Lady Lax, the Lady Raiders advance to Round Two of Regional play. They defeated Tuscarora with a score of 21-11. Scoring for the Raiders included: Senior Rachel Solis (6 g, 2 a), Junior Haley Knudsen (4 g, 2 a), Sophomores Megan Norris (3 g, 2 a) and Alex Lord (4 g, 3 a) and Freshmen Erica Beal (1 g) and Emily Solis (2 g 1 a). Defensively the Raider played strong lead by Seniors Jessie Joseph (goalie), Shannon Rose and Stephanie Modica. Aiding the senior defense included Junior Stephanie Schulze and Freshman Erica Beal.

After spending over fourteen hours traveling, sitting and waiting for lightning to pass the Lady Raiders arrived back to Loudoun County after securing a spot in the Region Final on Friday. They played and defeated Culpeper County HS 20-6 in both teams' first ever Region Semifinal game. Scoring for the Lady Raiders included: Senior Rachel Solis (8 g, 5 a), Juniors Sarah Greenspon (3 g, 1 a) and Haley Knudsen (2 g, 3 a), Sophomores Megan Norris (2 g, 3 a), Rachel Conway (1 g) and Alex Lord (1 g, 3 a) and Freshman Emily Solis (3 g, 2 a). Defensively, the Raiders were an almost unyielding wall led by Freshman goalie Maddy Wheeler. Aiding the defense were Seniors Shannon Rose and Stephanie Modica, Juniors Becca Vang, Stephanie Schulze  and Ashlee Bowers and Freshman Erica Beal. The Raiders take a much shorter trip to Woodgrove HS Friday May 25 to play for the Region Final.
