Tuscarora High School Club Keeps Local Stream Clean

A group of nine volunteers collected 20 bags of trash during a three hour cleanup on April 21.

's Interact Club spent the day cleaning up a stream in the Goose Creek neighborhood on April 21. The group had nine volunteers who collected more than 20 bags of trash. The cleanup lasted about three hours.

"Even if it is just a square mile of the earth, you are making a square mile of a difference that counts to the wildlife, property owners, the public and yourself, so that no one is harmed," said Club President Chiara Solitario.

The teenagers worked hard, Solitario said, and the school is proud of their efforts to help keep the environment clean. The group worked with Keep Loudoun Beautiful, who also donated the supplies.
