Supporters of the second annual , between Tuscarora and Woodgrove high schools, showed tremendous support through their donations to the cause.

The event, held this year at on Oct. 20, was a huge success, contributing $4,623 to breast cancer research. Just over $1,000 was raised at the gate. The remaining funds were raised as donations in cash, through raffles, flower and T-shirt purchases.

"To say the least, it is exciting. We set a goal of $1,000 and we quadrupled that," said Tuscarora Varsity Coach Marsha Hermes, adding that the team will once again support the cause next year. "I am so thankful to the players, parents, and community members who put so much effort into our event. It sure was successful."
