Bean Bar Aims to Jumpstart Conversations in the Village at Leesburg

The new coffee and wine bar opens Saturday with a Family Fun Day.

If you’re looking for a library-like work setting, the new Bean Bar opening Saturday in the Village at Leesburg may not be the place for you. But if you looking for conversation, coffee, sweet treats or even a little wine, Bean Bar just may be your cup of joe.

Owner Sohini Gupta Jindal said she wanted to create a place where people could enjoy a good conversation, watch a game, have book club or bring the family.

“This is a place where folks can hang out,” she said. “I’m not rushing you out the door. Satisfaction for me would be having a room full of people chatting away.”

But even if you are looking a quiet moment, Bean Bar’s got you covered with phone booths resembling the ones you might find in London. Customers also have access to unlimited WiFi.

“The Bean Bar really came to me as sort of a culmination of life experiences,” Jindal said. “I’ve always loved coffee. I’ve always loved wine. I’ve always loved talking with folks.”
