Central Loudoun Basketball League Will Hold Hoops for Hope Charity Game

This weekend, the CLBL is holding a Hoops for Hope charity basketball game at Loudoun County High School to benefit the Christopher J Foundation.

Chris Cicalese , a student , is battling a rare form of lymphoma.

The Christopher J Foundation began to help his family cope with the mounting medical bills associated with each of his cancer treatments.

On Saturday at 6 p.m., you can help support the foundation and enjoy a fun evening out at the Hoops for Hope charity basketball game at Loudoun County High School, according to a release from the Central Loudoun Basketball League.

The Loudoun County Basketball League coaches will be on the court, while the players will be acting as referees. Admission is free, but donations to the foundation are accepted. There will also be a concession stand at the game, with part of the proceeds benefiting the foundation.

There will also be raffles to win such prizes as a team-signed Capitals jersey and a Dick's Sporting Goods equipment bag stocked with items and gift cards, according to the league.

Tickets can also influence the game’s outcome, and guests can support their favorite teams by buying a shot at a free throw or a 3-pointer at halftime.

Karen Cicalese, Chris Cicalese's mother says she's thankful for all of the support her family has received in putting on this event and beyond. "It's very humbling to have the community do this to help your child," she said.

"Leesburg has family-first old-fashioned values," she continued, "it's great to live in a place where no one is too small and no one gets overlooked."

For those who can't make the game this weekend but still want to help, donations to the foundation can be made by sending a check to:
