Craig Forgash Named Director of Golf

The Alexandria native began his new role at the Golf Club at Lansdowne, in Leesburg, on March 12.

The Golf Club at Lansdowne named Craig Forgash director of golf at the 45-hole facility in Leesburg.

According to an online article on WorldGolf, Forgash, who has been a PGA member for more than 15 years, began his new duties on March 12. He arrived at the club after serving as the head golf professional at National Golf Club in Maryland.

"We are very fortunate to have someone with Craig's background and experience here at Lansdowne," said Ryan Wilson, director of club operations at The Golf Club at Lansdowne. "His skill level is exactly what we were looking for in a candidate; plus, our members and guests are going to benefit greatly from his wealth of knowledge of the game and the business of golf."

Forgash is a native of Alexandria and spent most of his golf career working for Marriott Golf in a variety of roles with upscale, daily fee, semi-private, and resort properties in Georgia, Arizona and Hawaii. His duties at The Golf Club at Lansdowne will include directing and overseeing all aspects of golf operations, including activities between guests, members and the community.
