When is the last day of summer? Not until you visit the Colonial Market and Fair at Mount Vernon.

By Greg Hambrick

History can be found daily at Mount Vernon, George Washington’s historic home, but this weekend, you’ll get a glimpse of an 18th century fair. Today, Saturday, Sept. 14, your family can watch sword swallowers and fire eaters with “General Washington.”

The last day of summer is Sept. 21. Or, you can look at it this way: The first day of fall is Sept. 22. Patch has found something for you to do each day as we count down until summer passes us by.
