Computer Summer Camps Enrolling for Area High School Students

Release, Loudoun County Public Schools:

Three summer computer camps designed for high school students are now accepting enrollments.

Cyber Security Exploration Camp

This one-week camp holds classes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily from June 23rd to June 27, at Monroe Technology Center. The fundamentals of information technology, programming and security essentials will be explored during this camp. 

Registration costs $200 and is limited to 30 students. Registration deadline is Friday, May 30. Questions about this camp can be answered at 571-252-2080. Monroe Technology Center is located at 715 Childrens Center Road, SW, Leesburg. 

Microsoft Office Specialist Boot Camp

This camp will be held at Heritage High School between June 23 and June 27. This is a 28-hour course limited to 15 participants. It will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily and students must bring their own lunch. Participants will take the Microsoft Office Specialist Exam at the end of the course.

The cost for this course, which will be taught by instructors from Northern Virginia Community College’s Work Force Development Faculty, is $450. 

Registration deadline is Friday, May 30. Heritage High School is located at 520 Evergreen Mill Road, SE, Leesburg.

Web Design Boot Camp

This camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 7 through July 11 at Potomac Falls High School. This is a 28-hour course limited to 15 participants.

This course will provide an entry-level knowledge of web page design for students. Students must provide their own lunch.

The cost for this course, which will be taught by instructors from Northern Virginia Community College’s Work Force Development Faculty, is $450.

Registration deadline is Friday, May 30. Potomac Falls High School is located at 46400 Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Falls.
