'I Love My Farmers Market' Campaign Underway

The program puts a focus on farming and asks residents to pledge to spend money at local markets.

Do you love your local farmers market? Join the I Love My Farmers Market Celebration and commit to spend at least $10 at your local market. American Farmland Trust hopes to obtain $1 million dollars in pledges to shop at farmers markets through its No Farms No Food campaign, which concludes Sept. 9.

There are plenty of farmers markets in Loudoun, including:

  • Wednesdays and Saturdays at Virginia Village Shopping Center in Leesburg
  • Saturdays at Pipeline Plaza in Ashburn
  • Sundays at Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn

The first time a consumer makes a pledge he or she receives a No Farms No Food bumper stickers to show support for struggling family farmers.
