The fair, put on by the nonprofit Loudoun Fair & Associates at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds, runs through July 28.
Gates open at 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 17558 Dry Mill Road Leesburg.
Here's what you should know as you visit the fair throughout the week:
HOURS OF OPERATION
Fair gates open at 4 p.m. Sunday and close at 11 p.m. July 28.
Gates open at 4 p.m. Monday; the fair will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day for the remainder of the week.
Activities run throughout the day. Fair dinners, which benefit the organizations sponsoring the meal, begin at 5 p.m. each day; the carnival reopens each evening around 6 p.m.
Other highlights include the Miss Loudoun County Fair Pageant on Sunday, a demolition derby Monday, a rodeo Thursday and Saturday and a magic show Friday.
No alcohol or pets, with the exception of service animals, are allowed in the fair grounds.

All fair goers will need to purchase tickets at the gate, which include all activities except for carnival rides.
The fair provided the following price chart for tickets:
Adult (13 and older)
Children (ages 6-12)Weekly Pass at the Gate $25 $10 Daily Pass at the Gate $10 $5
Children younger than six years old are free.
Sunday admission will be half priced.
4-H Dinners: $7 to $13 per person
The fair will accept credit cards at the front gate. There are two ATMS located inside the fairgrounds.
Tickets for rides at the carnival must be purchased separately. Each ride requires anywhere from one to six tickets. On Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, the carnival will offer wristbands for unlimited rides before 5 p.m. for $18.
If you leave the fairgrounds, you can request a re-entry ticket to return inside, but it is only valid for admission the same day.
There are no refunds on admission tickets.
Parking is free on the fairgrounds. There are typically also private, off-site lots available for a fee.
Residents can enter a number of competitions at the fair, from a corn eating contest to a beauty pageant to a karaoke sing off. For more information, click here.
