Loudoun Free Clinic Receives $58,216 From Radiology Imaging Associates at Lansdowne

RIA, a longtime contributor to the free clinic, donates money in support of efforts to provide medical care to uninsured residents.

The Loudoun Free Clinic, of Leesburg, Va., recently received a donation of $58,216 from Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) at Lansdowne. A long-standing major financial contributor to the Free Clinic, RIA has annually presented the Clinic with a generous donation. The practice, which has been serving Loudoun County for more than 20 years, also provides diagnostic imaging services at no charge for the Free Clinic's patients from its Lansdowne facility and Countryside offices, RIA at Sterling. Additionally, RIA serves as a major supporter for the Free Clinic's annual fund-raising event held in November.

In statements accompanying the donation, RIA's President and Medical Director Joseph P. Finizio said, "Radiology Imaging Associates is committed to giving back to the community and helping organizations like the Loudoun Free Clinic that do so much to provide health care services for disadvantaged residents.

"We welcome Loudoun Free Clinic patients to our Lansdowne offices and newly

renovated Sterling facilities, and are proud to be able to donate the diagnostic and

preventive imaging services that are so important to improving their health status,” he said.

 Loudoun Free Clinic Executive Director Jennifer Kitrel commented, “On behalf of the Free Clinic we are most grateful to Dr. Finizio and his practice for this generous gift. They are major supporters of our efforts to provide care to Loudoun residents who otherwise could not afford to access these services.”

 In continuous operation since 2002 as a project of the Catoctin Foundation, the Free Clinic delivers quality medical care at no charge, serving uninsured residents of Loudoun County, between the ages of 18 and 64. Governed by an all-volunteer board of directors and supported by the volunteer services of area physicians, healthcare organizations, businesses and individuals, the Clinic's mission is to improve access to healthcare services for the uninsured, thereby improving the overall health status of this segment of Loudoun's population.
