On Wednesday, the Town of Leesburg will
offer informational tours of King Street to provide information about the
Downtown Improvement Project.
Wednesday’s walks, at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., will provide information about plans for King Street from Cornwall Street to Loudoun Street and are intended to help stakeholders visualize planned changes. Town officials will point to locations of proposed features, such as wider sidewalks, loading and parking areas, streetlights, trees and a crosswalk.
Some business owners have expressed concerns about changes in parking.
For the morning walk, meet at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the lobby of Town Hall. For the afternoon walk, meet at 5:15 p.m. in the Town Hall lobby. Each walk is expected to take about an hour. Participants are invited to ask questions.
