28th Annual Leesburg event sponsored by Northern Virginia Rods and Classic Car Club.

Release, Town of Leesburg:

The 28th annual Leesburg Classic Car Show will cruise into downtown Leesburg on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Sponsored by the Northern Virginia Rods and Classic Car Club and the Leesburg Downtown Business Association, the car show begins at 5:00pm and runs until 10:00pm.

More than 200 classic autos, street rods, muscle cars and custom models will be on display, with proud owners on hand to answer questions. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 30 model year 1989 and older vehicles. In addition, vehicles will compete for the Mayor’s Choice and Merchants’ Choice trophies. Several specialty vehicles, including a Batmobile and an antique police “Paddy Wagon,” will also be featured.

The Classic Car Show promises fun for the whole family. A DJ will play classic Rock and Roll music from the ‘50s and ‘60s. There will be door prizes and games for kids. Many downtown businesses, including all of the restaurants, will remain open throughout the show.

Donations of $3.00 per person are requested as admission to the show. All proceeds benefit the Auto Collision Repair Class and the Arts & Graphics Department at the C.S. Monroe Technology Center. Money raised will fund scholarships, supplies and field trips for students.

Downtown streets will close at 4:00pm for car show staging. For more information, please visitwww.novarodsnclassics.org
