Jurassic Pumpkinville, Villagefest, Children's Ballet and Soles for Hope 5K

What we're looking forward to this weekend.

The events below come from the Patch events calendar, but there's more! Also, tell us about your events this weekend in the comment section below.

It won't be the animals you expect at this year's Pumpkinville Fall Festival. The Leesburg Animal Park has brought in more than a dozen large, sculpted dinosaurs for the popular fall event. Other new attractions include a Spider Web Crawl, a 20-foot inflatable tree house slide, a huge pumpkin bounce and a kid’s cornstalk maze. $13.95, $11.95 for ages 2-12. Begins Saturday. 19270 James Manroe Highway, Leesburg.

No dinosaurs, but several carnival rides in Ashburn. The Ashburn Villagefest 2013 will include rides and games, live music, carnival food, a craft show, beer garden, cornhole tournament and more. Admission is free. Friday thru Sunday. Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion, 20585 Ashburn Village Blvd, Ashburn.

Music and dance will be paired with children's classics. The Loudoun Symphony and the Loudoun Ballet will host two performances of "Fur, Feathers and Friends." The new show collects "Peter and the Wolf" and Ravel's "Mother Goose Suite," as well as a new work by award-winning composer Mark Edwards Wilson. $22 (discounts for seniors and students). Free admission for children 12 and under. Performances begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at Virginia Academy - Community Church, 19790 Ashburn Road, Ashburn.

While the weather is on the pleasant side, there's more 5K action this weekend. Grace Covenant Church will be hosting a run to raise money for malnourished children. Soles for Hope will include a free health expo open to the public following the run. $35 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. start time. Grace Covenant Church, 4600 Brookfield Corporate Drive, Chantilly.

The official start for the Cox Farms Fall Festival isn’t here yet, but that shouldn’t stop you. The Preview Weekend includes all the hayrides, giant slides, swings, animals and live music you’d expect, along with apples, cider and pumpkins. $14. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 15621 Braddock Road, Centreville.
