Leesburg Introduces 'Movies in the Park'

Grab some popcorn and a picnic blanket to join the Town of Leesburg at Ida Lee Park for Movies in the Park.

The event will take place on the third Friday of each month during the summer. Starting Friday, June 20, the first Movie in the Park will be "Goonies," followed by a showing of "The Lego Movie" Friday, July 18.

The final movie of the summer will be chosen by viewers. Details on how to vote will be available in the near future on the Town of Leesburg website.

Gates open at 8:30 p.m. and showtime begins at dusk, between 9 and 9:15 p.m. Movies will be shown near the soccer fields and parking will be at the A.V. Symington Outdoor Aquatic Center.

The Town of Leesburg encourages patrons to bring picnics and blankets, but prohibits pets, glass containers and alcohol.
