New Website "Blooms" for Leesburg Flower & Garden Festival

Release, Town of Leesburg, March 4:

In the midst of cold and snowy days, not many folks are thinking about spring flowers, except for the staff who are planning the 24th annual Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival! Behind the scenes preparations are in full swing as one of the most anticipated projects of the year comes to completion - the launch of the new festival website.

“This website has been a long time coming, and we are very pleased with the end result,” said Jeremy Payne, Recreation and Events Manager for the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department.

The new website (www.flowerandgarden.org) is designed around strong visual elements which highlight the many different aspects of the festival. It is designed to serve two primary user groups, festival guests and festival vendors. Guests will have to ability to view entertainment schedules, maps, parking info, and see the listings of past and present vendors. Crafters, landscapers and food retailers now have the opportunity to apply online. Also featured within the site are direct links to the festival’s social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

“The site is much more dynamic and allows us to get more information out to the public in a timely manner,” said Payne. “We look forward to using the website as an added tool to keep our guests and vendors up to date on all the things happening at the festival.”
