This Weekend: Last Ham Standing, Zombie Skaters, Leesburg 20k/5k

What's happening Aug. 16 to 18 in Leesburg, Loudoun.

Friday

Last Ham Standing: The improv show, called "the other comedy meat" alongside Whose Line Is It Anyway?, comes to Franklin Park Arts Center thanks to  Market Street Productions. Sound Familiar? It's because the same company ran the Tally Ho Theatre from 2008-2012 in downtown Leesburg.

Saturday

Zombie Skaters Hope to Weed Out the Competition: The undead will take on the living in Dulles this weekend at NOVA Roller Derby’s Zombies versus Plant bout. The region’s roller derby team based their latest match on the video game Plants versus Zombies, a popular cell phone game that—you guessed it—pits zombies against “zombie-zapping” plants.  The fun is happening at the Michael and Son Sportsplex in Dulles.

Will you find a new four-legged friend ? Fins and Feathers hosts an adoption drive for pets from the Loudoun County Animal Shelter looking for a new home. The drive only lasts two hours, from 9 to 11 a.m., so get there early.

Things that go Vroom: Check out the cool two- and four-wheeled machines at the Finish The Race Car and Motorcycle Show in Sterling. There's a moon bounce and motorcycle stunt show, among other attractions, and awards for Top 10 and Top 25.

Sunday

Leesburg 20k/5k: Lace up your sneakers. The event, in its 25th year, takes off at 7:30 a.m. at  203 Harrison Street, SE. It benefits the YMCA.
