Erik Saunders, Atlas Tree General Manager, studied arboriculture at Penn State and has 18 years experience as an expert tree climber and certified arborist. Before entering the private sector, Erik was in charge of the maintenance of all trees and shrubs for the Department of the Army at Arlington National Cemetery. He was contracted by the bureau of Land Management for habitat creation in the Trinity National Forest. Erik was a forest firefighter in Northern California and Oregon before returning to the East Coast to take charge of Atlas Tree, Inc.
