The Loudoun Sheriff’s warns residents to be aware, take precautions and report suspicious activity.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a series of burglaries in which it appears the criminals are targeting homes with gold jewelry. Investigators have identified seven burglaries since December that could be connected. In most of those cases, the perpetrator entered homes through rear doors or windows while the residents were away: Deputies are patrolling these areas and residents. The LCSO reminds residents to report any suspicious behavior, vehicles or persons by calling the 24-hour, non-emergency line at 703-777-1021. Residents are reminded to call 911 in an emergency. A fast-thinking resident in Broadlands recently helped deputies nab suspects in a series of larcenies.
