Since last September, a brave eleven year old named Mathias Giordano of Leesburg has battled Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer, in his right leg that spread to his lungs. The child has endured 12 rounds of chemotherapy – nine more are planned – yet has kept a positive spirit and smile. Brambleton Sport & Health Club in Ashburn has planned a fundraiser from April 13-20 to help pay the Giordano family’s medical expenses. Sport & Health has set up a silent auction where participants bid on items throughout the week. “Many people are also making cash donations at the club when they attend classes,” said Brittany Horowitz, a spokesperson for Sport & Health. When Primo Hoagies sandwich shop owners Mark and Diane LeGette heard the story of Leesburg resident Gabriella Miller’s inoperable brain tumor, they knew they wanted to help. Cancer is a disease that has affected their family and they felt a personal connection to her situation. Primo Hoagies of Leesburg decided to designate Tuesday as “Gabriella’s Day” and donate 20 percent of the day's sales to her cause. It's located at 210 Fort Evans Rd, NE, Leesburg. Alternative to consider. I have a very good friend that has a cancerous brain tumor, he found a alternative. He is taking a liquid drug, 2tablespoons daily, of PROTOCEL and his tumor has not grown since he started using it.
