The discussion was closed to the public, but in remarks outside the panel he said the group reached a “broad consensus” that certain parties should be denied access to guns. They include convicted felons, those guilty of domestic violence and those who are legally found to not be capable because of mental capacity. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and Deputy U.S. Attorney General Jim Cole joined Biden for the discussion. Loudoun County Transit has scheduled commuter bus service between several locations in Loudoun and the West Falls Church Metro station for Inauguration Day, Monday, January 21, 2013. Get Metro's schedule for the big day here. Morning buses to the West Falls Church Metro Station – Orange Line – will begin departing as early as 4:10 a.m. Buses will return to Loudoun County at regular intervals between 3 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. LC Transit representatives will direct passengers to their appropriate buses at the Metro station. Loudoun Republicans are among those who joined in the call after VP’s ‘back in chains’ remark.
Republican committee leaders in Northern Virginia last week sent a letter to Vice President Joe Biden demanding an apology after he accused Republicans of wanting to put Americans "back in chains." In the letter, GOP chairmen of the 8th, 10th, and 11th Congressional Districts and those of Loudoun, Prince William, and Fairfax Counties requested that Biden issue an apology for the remarks, which he made during a campaign speech in Danville, VA. The 2nd Amendment guarentees our 1st Amendment freedom of Speech and assembly.
