Leesburg Police seek man spotted near the home, which had been ransacked.
Leesburg Police officers were searching for a tall, slender, white male suspected of burglarizing a home on the 400 block of Foxridge Drive SW in Leesburg around 9:25 a.m. Thursday. Police responded to reports from a neighbor who witnessed the suspect exiting the home and fleeing. The neighbor also observed a broken window. The Virginia State Police K9 unit assisted in a search of the area that proved unsuccessful. Officers searched the home and found it had been "ransacked." Attempts were being made to notify the homeowner and determined whether items were taken. The case remains under investigation the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigations section. Police say man was found dead Saturday morning in bedroom; wife in custody.
A 63-year-old man is dead Saturday after what the Leesburg Police Department is calling "an isolated domestic-related incident." The case is being investigated as a homicide. Officers were called just after 6 a.m. Saturday to Chicksaw Place NE for a suspicious incident. When they arrived, they found the man dead in an upstairs bedroom, according to a statement released by the department Saturday morning. Police said they have taken the victim's 57-year-old wife into custody. She is being interviewed this morning, police said in the statement. Leesburg police say two men were linked to 21 cases in Woodlea, Greenway Farms and Potomac Station neighborhoods.
Two men were given a combined sentence of 30 years of jail time for their role in a string of more than 20 thefts across Leesburg earlier this year. The sentences, a large portion of which were suspended in favor of supervised or unsupervised probation, were a result of charges brought against the two men for taking items from unlocked cars and open garages in the Woodlea, Greenway Farms and Potomac Station neighborhoods in Leesburg, police said Monday in a release. Brian Romberger and Justin Easom were arrested and charged in March in connection with the cases. Both pleaded guilty to burglary and grand larceny charges, along with three counts each of credit card fraud. In October, a Loudoun County Circuit Court judge gave Romberger 13 …

The Leesburg Police are currently investigating the incident, which occurred around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Gunshots were fired at a tow truck driver early Tuesday morning in the 0-99 block of Plaza Street, NE. The Leesburg Police Department is currently investigating the incident, which occured at approximately 12:35 a.m. The shooter has yet to be identified. Twenty-year-old Izamar Carmona-Pacheco was found dead last Friday
Detectives with the Leesburg Police Department are awaiting additional information from the Virginia Medical Examiners Northern District Office following the death of Izamar Carmona-Pacheco, 20, a Mexican National who was found inside of an apartment located at The Fields of Leesburg last Friday. Officers responded to 807-L, Edwards Ferry Rd, NE around 12:40 a.m. that day after receiving a call in reference to a female who was unconscious and unresponsive. Carmona-Pacheco was located in a bedroom within the residence. According to Master Police Officer Christopher Tidmore, initial observations determined the death appeared to be suspicious. The Criminal Investigation Section of the Leesburg Police Department have been on the scene since early Friday morning.
The Leesburg Police Department is continuing their investigation of what may be the suspicious death of a Hispanic woman in her early twenties. Her body was found inside of an apartment located at The Fields of Leesburg, in the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg. According to Master Police Officer Christopher Tidmore, police were alerted by concerned relatives of the victim around 12:40 a.m. Friday morning. No contact had been made with the victim within the last few days. The incident is under investigation at this time by the Criminal Investigation Section of the Leesburg Police Department. In addition, this is an isolated and contained incident and police say there is no threat to the public or the community.
