BurgerFi Serves Up Angus at the Village

Local dignitaries welcome the restaurant to the Village at Leesburg with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

After a busy few weeks following its Feb. 12 "soft opening," BurgerFi held a grand-opening ceremony at the Village at Leesburg Saturday with lots of burgers, beer and tasty treats for hungry new customers. The restaurant is known for its all-natural Angus burgers, complete with the BurgerFi logo stamped on the bun. "The response has been amazing," said David Landry, who co-owns the restaurant with his son, Chris, and their partner, Tim Kelly. Burger seekers had lined up at the door right by 11 a.m. Saturday. If you haven’t seen BurgerFi, it’s next to Finnegan’s Irish Pub at the Village. I have to admit I bypassed this place several times because the signs saying "natural" burgers had me worried that I would be walking into a tofu fest. Now I read angus and custard? Hmmm....might have to give this a try.   more ›

ATA Elite Martial Arts Opens in Leesburg

Hundreds attended the grand opening demonstration at the new studio Saturday.

With an experienced staff of martial arts instructors who hold multiple black belts, ATA Elite Martial Arts knew how to draw a crowd of more than 200 students, parents and friends, to an energetic grand opening ribbon cutting and demonstration Saturday. Co-Owners Antonio Rodriguez and his wife Carolina Warnes, Warnes’ father Carlos Warnes and Daniel Regueiro owned five martial arts studios in the Charlotte, NC, area when they decided to consolidate and focus their energy on one studio.
