A former rower is Lille a former marine you can never get it out of your blood. The goal would be to develop the reservoir into a national rowing venue that would be home to several local High Schools and a competitive masters program.
As a former rower, I also have contemplated the possibilities of rowing on BeaverDam Reservoir. There is precedent, for example, several rowing clubs and schools row on the Occoquan Reservoir, also a drinking water source for Fairfax Co. I would love to see the entire area be transformed to resemble Sandy Run Park and Fountainhead Park.
