Dulles Motorcars Celebrates Expansion After Car Crunch

A Look Ahead: The 20-year community business appears back on top, reestablishing Chrysler Franchise.

On Thursday, Dulles Motorcars will cut the ribbon on its expanded dealership on Catoctin Circle, marking the end of a four-year plan for Leesburg companies to reemerge after Chrysler closed nearly 800 dealerships across the country.

In all, two Leesburg dealerships lost their Chrysler franchises in June 2009 when American automobile manufacturers were struggling to survive a tough spell during which many accepted loans from the federal government. The Pohanka dealership, also on Catoctin Circle, opened its new showroom in January.

Dulles Motorcars owners Hamid Saghafi and Kevin Saghafi received assistance from the Leesburg Economic Development Department and the Town Manager’s Office and regained its franchise.
