2nd Annual Fore!Smiles Golf Tournament Monday

Today is the last day to register for the Fore!Smiles Golf Tournament. Proceeds and donations fund surgeries for children from around the world with cleft lip/palate.

Golf for a cause at the Second Annual Fore!Smiles Golf Tournament Monday, June 23 to benefit the international children's charity organization Smile Train, which aims to fund surgeries for children with cleft lip or palate.

Hosted by Sara Ablard, the event will raise money in honor of Albard's daughter, Sadie, who died in 2011 after sustaining a head injury while roller-skating. Albard's mission is to raise $500,000, enough money to fund at least one Smile Train surgery for every day of her daughter's life. To date, Albard has raised $100,000 of that goal and treated children in 87 countries.

This year's tournament will take place at River Creek Club at 43800 Olympic Boulevard in Leesburg and includes a lineup of special guest golfers. Among those is current Arizona Cardinals and former Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, who is also the founder of the youth and community building organization ACES Foundation.

The event will include a silent auction, vendor booths, a full Italian buffet, an open beverage cart and bar, a Nike Pro Fit golf shirt and a goodie bag. Golfers must RSVP by Friday, June 20. Registration costs $165 per golfer with a $60 discount per foursome. Follow this link for more information on how to register.
