Night Work to Begin on Loudoun Street; Expect Lane Closures

The work will include new curbs, gutters, sidewalks, plantings from Church to King streets.

As work on Phase II of Leesburg’s Downtown Improvements Project continues, starting Monday, Aug. 12, the schedule will extend into nighttime hours as water lines along Loudoun Street between Church Street and King Street are replaced.

As part of the project, new curbs, gutters, sidewalks and landscaping will be installed along the route. That work also will be conducted at night.

All night construction will occur between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. During the first week of the night schedule, Loudoun Street will have just single lane from King to Church. Flag crews will control and direct traffic.
