Storm Drain Project to Close Catoctin in Leesburg for Three Days

The work will improve drainage near the W&OD Trail within the town.

Replacement of a storm drainage pipe will close Catoctin Circle from Dry Mill Road to Rosemeade Place for three days later this month, meaning those who use the road will have to alter their routes. Detour signs will direct traffic to alternate routes.

The Leesburg Public Works Department project begins Aug. 19 and continues through Aug. 23, but one lane of traffic will be reopen along Catoctin beginning Aug. 22.

Construction will begin each day at 7 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.; however, the closures will continue all day. In the event of inclement weather or mechanical breakdown, the construction schedule could be extended.
