Loudoun Wins Babe Ruth World Series in Purcellville
The local team becomes the first host win the championship.
Loudoun County not only hosted the Babe Ruth 13-15 World Series championship, its team became the first host to win the tournament, sealing the win with an 8-3 victory over Westchester, CA, Saturday at Fireman’s Field in Purcellville.
“It’s pretty crazy knowing no host team has ever won the championship,” Loudoun closer Kaleb Bowman told Viva Loudoun after the win.
