FROZEN FORECAST: The Regional Freeze Expected to Continue for Days

After possible weekend rise above freezing, temperatures will drop again.

Bundle up, Loudoun, the freeze will continue for another week, according to the National Weather Service and The Weather Channel.

This weekend may provide the only relief until next Friday when temperatures are forecast to climb to a high of 38 degrees. Depending on which forecast you check, weekend highs will be anywhere from 33 degrees (NWS) to 38 degrees (TWC). The wind chill factor will make it feel about 10 degrees colder.

For the next two days, Loudoun residents can expects high temperatures in the upper teens to mid-20s and lows in the single digits or teens. Again, the wind chill will make it feel about 10 degrees colder.

Then Saturday and Sunday may provide a brief chances for snow and ice to melt before temperatures head back downward. High temperatures for most days throughout the week are forecast to be in the teens or 20s, with the winds continuing to make it feel much colder.
